Call for Papers
The African Journal of Educational Research and Development (AJERD) is a multidisciplinary, blind and peer reviewed journal, that is published bi-annually by the Department of Educational Management, Faculty of Education, University of Port-Harcourt. AJERD brings to focus topical issues in different aspects affecting educational practice. The journal encourages reports on empirical studies, theoretical frameworks and provides the forum for professionals to express their views and creative ideas on current issues affecting educational practice irrespective of areas of specialization. This is an institutional based journal that has been on since 2007 (11 years in existence). AJERD is currently calling for papers for Vol. 11, No 2.
Basic Guidelines for Contributors
Contributors to AJERD should adhere to the following basic requirements:
Abstract: Articles should be accompanies with an abstract of 200-300 words and not more than 8 keywords.
Length: 3000 to 5000 words (15-20 pages), including references, figures and tables.
Format: Times New Roman; font 12 and 1.5 spacing, typed on A4 paper set-up.
Structure: Introduction; methodology; findings; discussion; conclusions and recommendations. Tables, diagrams, figures and pictures should be in their appropriate places in the body of the article.
Referencing: All citations must be referenced and the contributors should adhere to the 6th edition of the APA format.
Submissions and Inquiries: Manuscripts should be emailed to the editor at chineeze.uche@uniport.edu.ng or nezenwam@yahoo.com as word document attachments.
Book Reviews: The journal also accepts book reviews of about 1000 (5 pages). Proposed titles should be submitted to the same address above for review before proceeding with the review.
