EDITORIAL

The African Journal of Educational Research and Development (AJERD) presents the 2025 Conference Edition, Volume 16, Numbers 2 and 3 of June 1, 2025. The two series in the volume publish empirical and scholarly research papers, presented at the 8th Annual Conference of the Department of Educational Management, Faculty of Education of the University of Port Harcourt, Port Harcourt, Nigeria, from April 11 to 16, 2025, with the theme: ‘Managing Technology Education: Shaping the Future through Educational System’ and other empirical and theoretical submissions from scholars in the general field of educations and related disciplines. As is traditional, African Journal of Educational Research and Development adopts a multi-disciplinary approach and has continued to ensure continuing contributions, collaborations, knowledge transfer and sharing in the local, national continental and international academic spheres.

In Volume 16, Number 2 and 3, scholars and researchers, using concepts from the four frontiers of educational management, namely; Educational Planning, Educational Administration, Economics of Education, Administration of Higher and General Education, investigated and presented empirical and theoretical expositions on the management of technology education for shaping the future through educational systems. These contributions include; Innovations in Managing Schools, Management of Innovative Education for Educational Functionality, Security Education for Peaceful Co-existence in Schools, Challenges in Managing Educational Innovations, Status of Economic Innovations Management, Resources Allocation and Utilization and their Benefits, Integration and Management of Artificial Intelligence in Education, Management of e-learning Devices, Management of Educational Personnel, Institutional Policy Factors on Sustainability of Pedagogy Innovations, Management of Teachers Research and Capacity Building Practices for Productivity, Principals Leadership and Motivational Practices, among others.

The Journal is grateful to the researchers and scholars, who turned up at the conference and made valid presentations and far reaching contributions, which have made the publishing of the second and third series of this volume possible. We also want to appreciate the numerous readers (online and offline) from higher educational institutions and other organizations, for their invaluable inputs in the forms of advice, counsel and constructive criticisms that have made this outing a reality.

            The African Journal of Educational Research and Development is committed to publishing stimulating empirical, theoretical and applied research papers on pertinent contemporary issues in Nigerian, African and global Educational community.
